Dear Parents,
I wanted to send out the information about TIA Championships/Wildwood for this year. Any parents that would like to attend as chaperones, please let me know ASAP!!!! We will be taking an even larger group this year, as the jazz band will be staying with us the entire time! Parents are needed to monitor students at the hotel, and on the boardwalk; assist in getting students ready for shows; waking up students/bed checks at night; helping to prepare meals for everyone! There is some work involved, but it’s a lot of fun!
Those are the room fees - set by TIA as I explained at the interest meeting. All chaperones fees include the $25 food fee. The fees are higher this year as we will be staying Wednesday-Sunday. Previous years we did not leave until Thursday morning. This will help the morning timeline to get percussion ready for prelims.
When you email me, please let me know if you are in need of a single room, or a 3+ person room. If you are rooming with your spouse, please let me know. If you do not mind rooming with another chaperone (same gender), I will place you with another adult that has stated the same thing. Under TIA rules, there are no co-ed rooms, with the exception of married couples (Unless you don't want to room together! :-D)
I cannot make changes after 3/10/2020 - TIA locks the system, and I cannot change anything to our list. Please let me know if you would like to chaperone no later than 2/23/2020.
All checks can be made payable to AHS Music Boosters. Please write "chaperone" on the memo line, so that we can mark the fee correctly. All chaperone fees are due by 3/23/20. We must pay a 50% deposit on our Wildwood fee by 3/17/20.
We will be staying at the same hotel again this year:
Please do not contact the hotel directly about reservations. All hotels book through TIA, and we will be blocking out the entire hotel. All groups pay the same fees, and all hotels are the same amount of money. The hotel has plenty of parking (free), and is three stories. Most chaperones/staff will be on the first floor; girls/boys will each be on a separate floor. I will ask for a couple of chaperone rooms to be on each floor. I also put in for a hospitality room again, where all the food will be stored.
